LONDON PLANNING GUIDE

London attractions worth booking

Choose by the part of London, the experience you care about and the time the visit will take. One fixed reservation can anchor a day; several distant bookings can turn it into a transport exercise.

START WITH THE EXPERIENCE

Pick a category before you pick a ticket

A royal site, museum, skyline ride and river journey create very different days. Choose one paid anchor and keep nearby stops flexible.

Royal history

The Tower of London and Westminster Abbey suit different parts of the city. Give the chosen interior enough time.

Skyline experience

The London Eye is a timed ride. Check the slot, redemption instructions and weather terms.

Major collection

The British Museum has free general admission, paid exhibitions and a security check. Choose a focused route.

River journey

Decide whether the Thames is transport or sightseeing. Confirm the operator, pier, route and return point.

Neighborhood day

Westminster, South Bank, Bloomsbury and Tower Hill each support a coherent walking plan.

Attraction pass

List the places you will actually enter, map them and check which still need reservations.

Book the fixed anchor before the flexible stops

Secure the visit with the least flexible access first, then add places that can absorb a late arrival or longer lunch.

01

Keep Westminster and South Bank compact

Use one scheduled interior as the anchor.

The Abbey, Parliament exteriors, Westminster Bridge and South Bank can fit one area. If the London Eye matters, leave room for Abbey security and the walk across the river.

A river departure is another fixed commitment, so treat it as an alternative unless the timetable leaves a comfortable buffer.

02

Give the Tower enough space

Tower Hill is easier to treat as its own historic cluster.

The Tower contains several buildings and displays. Keep Tower Bridge, the riverside and a boat from Tower Pier as flexible continuations.

Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are separate attractions with separate entry arrangements.

03

Plan a free museum visit

Free admission does not remove the need for a route.

Reserve a free entry time when advised, pass through security and choose two or three collection areas before arrival. Special exhibitions may need separate tickets.

Bloomsbury, Covent Garden and the West End are more natural continuations than a rushed trip to Greenwich.

04

Read pass rules attraction by attraction

A large attraction count is not the same as a useful itinerary.

Check whether each place you truly want is included, whether a reservation is still required and how far the visits are from one another.

Compare the pass cost with the exact entries you would otherwise buy, not the headline maximum.

CHECK CURRENT OPTIONS

Compare London attraction tickets

A booking checklist that protects the day

Confirm the details that affect entry, timing and the rest of the route.

  • Confirm the exact attraction, entrance and nearest practical station or pier.
  • Check whether the displayed time is admission, queue entry, departure or voucher redemption.
  • Read what is included, especially for towers, river products and combination tickets.
  • Allow for security, bag checks and service-related closures at working churches.
  • Review age, accessibility, weather, late-arrival and cancellation terms.
  • Save the confirmation offline and bring any ID named in the booking terms.

PLAN YOUR STAY

Stay near the London you will actually visit

Westminster and the South Bank favour a central base, while Bloomsbury or King’s Cross can work better for museums and rail. Check the map, room type, cancellation terms and complete price for your dates.
