Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
Airports of Thailand lists Airport Rail Link at the lower level of the main terminal, along with public taxis, app-based rides, buses and other services. Airport Rail Link connects toward Phaya Thai for BTS access and Makkasan for an MRT connection via Phetchaburi. Check the transfer path and the remaining trip to your hotel rather than treating either station as the final destination.
For a public taxi, use the official queue process and confirm the applicable meter, airport surcharge and toll arrangement. App-based pickup has a designated process that should be checked at the airport when you arrive.
Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
The SRT Red Line network includes Don Mueang station and continues toward Krung Thep Aphiwat, where other rail and city connections are available. Airport bus routes may provide a simpler path for some central areas. Check the current route and stop, because road conditions affect buses and the correct choice depends on your hotel district.
Transferring between BKK and DMK
The airports are far enough apart that an airport change should be treated as a separate journey, not a short terminal transfer. Suvarnabhumi Airport lists a transfer shuttle for eligible passengers with onward-flight proof, subject to its operating conditions. If the tickets are separate, allow time to collect bags, cross the city, check in again and clear security.
Choose by district and arrival conditions
Rail may suit you when
Your stay is near an easy BTS or MRT connection, you have manageable luggage and the service operates at your arrival time.
A car may suit you when
You arrive as a group, carry several bags, land after rail service or are staying in an area that requires several changes. Traffic can make the travel time uncertain.
