ROUTE DETAILS
Plan the route before travel day
Start with the address, then verify terminal details, ticket rules and live operating information with the official sources below.
JFK Airport: choose Jamaica or Howard Beach
JFK AirTrain connects the terminals with Jamaica and Howard Beach public transport links. Jamaica offers LIRR and subway choices; Howard Beach connects with the A subway. Choose according to the Manhattan neighborhood and the service operating at your travel time. AirTrain has a separate fare at the public transit exits, so include it when comparing the group cost.
LaGuardia Airport: bus first
LaGuardia does not have a direct subway station. The airport's official page says MTA buses connect the terminals with subway, LIRR and Metro-North options. The Q70 LaGuardia Link is a free connection from Terminals B and C to Queens transit hubs. Another bus may fit Upper Manhattan better. Check your terminal and the exact subway route before boarding.
Newark Airport: rail connection and construction checks
Newark Airport's AirTrain links terminals and facilities with the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station. From there, NJ Transit serves New York Penn Station and other regional connections. The airport is modernizing AirTrain, and temporary shuttle substitutions or access changes may apply. Review the official advisory on the day rather than relying on a saved itinerary.
