ROUTE DETAILS

Start with the address, then verify terminal details, ticket rules and live operating information with the official sources below.
“Paris” on an air ticket can mean a very different ground journey. Charles de Gaulle and Orly connect to the regional rail and metro network. Beauvais is much farther from the city and uses a dedicated airport coach pattern. The best comparison combines the airfare, airport transfer and the final route to your accommodation.
Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
Île-de-France Mobilités identifies two RER B airport stations: Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 for Terminals 1 and 3, and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV for the Terminal 2 complex. Check your terminal before following signs. In Paris, RER B serves major interchange points, but the easiest exit depends on your accommodation and whether the next connection has suitable access with luggage.
A direct airport bus or a car can be worth comparing when the rail route requires several changes. Do not assume road transport is faster at busy times. Confirm the pickup location, destination and complete fare first.
Orly Airport (ORY)
Metro line 14 serves Orly Airport and links into central Paris. Official regional guidance also lists the RER B to Antony followed by Orlyval. Compare the two routes to your particular arrondissement. A direct metro journey may still require a final change, while Orlyval may align better with some RER B destinations.
Airport journeys use specific ticket rules. Do not assume that an ordinary central Paris ticket covers CDG or Orly. Check the current airport ticket on the Île-de-France Mobilités site before travel.
Paris-Beauvais Airport (BVA)
Beauvais is outside the immediate Paris region. Its official airport site describes Aérobus routes between the airport and Paris-area stops. The stop and schedule can change, so check the route for your date and then plan the separate journey from that coach stop to your accommodation. Add a generous buffer for road traffic on the return trip.
Comparison checklist
Confirm these details before leaving the airport.
- Which airport and terminal are printed on the ticket?
- Which Paris station is closest to your accommodation, and is the interchange practical with luggage?
- Does the airport service require a special ticket or seat reservation?
- Will the route still operate after a realistic immigration and baggage-claim time?
- Does a child, stroller, mobility need or large group change the sensible option?
- For the return, have you checked disruption notices and the correct terminal?
Let the arrival route inform your base
If your arrival is late or your luggage is heavy, a straightforward first-night route may matter more than a famous address. Use the Paris stay guide to compare areas, the full-stay cost guide to include airport travel, and flights and airport transfers for the wider booking process. The travel tools hub collects the other services used around a trip.
